Degely.

Last week or two: spent a lot of time doing one hell of an essay. Entitled "the influence of jazz on classical music," I briefly explored some deep influences jazz has on classical music in a way that, dare I say it, may just be original. It was one hell of an essay, and I was so proud of it.

Wednesday: finished it, double-spaced it, finalised the footnotes and references - and lost it when my computer died. Freaked out.

Thursday: freaked out some more, panicked a bit, sent the laptop to a data retrieval service, hoped for the best. Panicked some more. Heard that the files had been recovered that evening (6ish), but wasn't going to celebrate, just in case.

Today: turned twenty. Got my jazz essay back. Saw it with my own two eyes. It's one hell of an essay.

Best birthday ever.
