Woe the End of Summer
I went out for a cycle this evening, and... I brought a coat.
This is the first time I've worn a coat since before the summer. This means that summer is now officially over. Autumn is here, with winter hiding just around the corner, with an icy stare and sniffly nose.
And the weather this summer was crap. I have a whole load of shirts I really adore, and I remember, in spring, anxiously opening my blinds every morning to see if today would be the first day it was warm enough to wear one of these beautiful shirts.
In the end, there were very few days when I could wear shirts, and I only managed to wear a few of them. Now summer's over, and I won't have another chance till next year.
Damn.
Incidentally, I posted about the poverty of classical music performance on
musicphilosophy. It's the sort of post I'd post here too, but seeing as Andy's (Andrew's?) both on my friends-list and a member of the community, I decided to just give the link here. I'd like some feedback, but just remember that you might need to be a member to post.
