A Controversial Value-Judgment.
Y'know, Metallica's most recent album, St. Anger, is really quite a good album.
No; it's a fucking amazing album. It's inspired. It's one of the most raw, honest, and unpretentious works I can remember ever hearing.
Further, though I generally don't like Metallica, or most of the members of the band, James Hetfield is an astounding musician, in a way that I think is comparable to many virtuoso classical musicians, although, of course, in a completely different way.
There, I've said it. I like some Metallica. Sure, my favourite Metallica album is every self-respecting Metallica fan's most abhorred album, but still. I'll still expect letter bombs should any classical snobs find out.
