Goodbye, MAF!
I got banned from miniatureamericanflags.com! Ha! Here's the host's reason:
"James McG, you are banned from the members only section until you read OPAR (Objectivism: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand) cover to cover and can prove that you read it. If you make an asinine comment on my public posts, I will ban you from those as well. You seem to be a man without original thought and it is beyond annoying."
Now, the comment he responded to may well be answered in OPAR, but what I find particularly amusing is that I don't think he banned me because of that comment. In a recent members-only post he talked about abortion, and I thoroughly, thoroughly pwned his infantile views on it. He didn't respond to my argument, but banned me, as I have said, ostensibly for being asinine on another, public post. Fun fun. Some day I will read OPAR, but no time soon. So many other books to read...
Incidentally, today is Ash Wednesday. I didn't twig straight away why one guy had dirt on his head, and was going to alert him to the dirt on his head, but when I saw that he wasn't alone in sporting ashes, I remembered the occasion. I should still alert people to it, though, just in case. "Sorry ma'am, are you aware that you have a disturbing reminder of your own mortality and sinful nature on your forhead?"
