Hum-ho.

It is still odd that I have nothing to do. It is now 11.30. I can't go to bed; I won't go to sleep for hours, because I'm not tired enough. What I can do is study orchestration or continue reading about Shostakovich (Grove Music is a great, great reference tool), or even read Thomas More's Utopia, which is sitting beside my bed. But alas, I am tired. Besides, I'm listening to Nova on Lyric FM (on the INTERNET!!), which is playing a Philip Glass four-hand piano suite at me, and I'm all for that. If I leave, it shall do so no longer, and anyway, Utopia is a bloody dull book. And I don't know how well I'll be able to focus.

So what is the purpose of this post? To bide time till I go to sleep. I'm still too driven to just sit back and listen to the music; I have to do something, even if something is just writing inanities in my weblog. My logic is that I write sensible (I hope) posts here the vast majority of the time, and Everyone Gets One.

Does anyone know of an Encyclopaedia of History, akin to Grove, or The Internet Encyclopaedia of Philosophy? Or an Encyclopaedia of Politics, perhaps? I was thinking of getting a BA in History and Politics, but I may just go the books and internet resources route instead. Goodness knows I'll be useless enough with a philosophy and music degree without accentuating it further.

Anyhow.
