Morality gets everywhere. It's all over my shoes!

So, I was reading Terry Pratchett, and I see this, paraphrased: "The root of all evil is treating other people like things." Ooh, says I, that looks very interesting. It seems to be a way for us to survive in a world without rights (and, remember, there's all that talk I've been reading saying that rights are silly and we should move beyond them). It seems to allow more for intelligence and judgement. So I'm going to explore the moral code with the Golden Rule "treat other people as people", whatever the devil that entails. And how do I explore these things? Like so: I say, what do you think, and then do everything I can to prove you wrong (it's 'cause I love you, really it is).

So what do you think?
