i dunno... not my favourite. but i felt obliged to put it down. don't get me wrong, it's a great show, but i don't re-watch any of the episodes unless gavan or someone makes me, or unless i want to introduce it to someone. and i didn't laugh *that* much the first times i saw them either... - composing:

it's a legend genre of music! a joke if looked at from the right (wrong) perspective, but i love the feel of it, and it's such a broad term; from kate's frank sinatra to satch's new blues, to steve vai's occasional jazzy song, to chicago... and it all rocks! what happens when popular music combines with classical music combines with really realy *cool* people. oh, and black people. it's so damn good... - love:
an anomoly. i don't get it. it doesn't follow logic, it makes very very little sense, and i don't know what i'm doing there. moreover, it's an aspect of the human mind, which i just love poking and analysing and trying to comprehend... but failing. due in no small part, i imagine, to the fact i keep on trying to make it bend to logic. which is actually quite important. - peace:
peace of mind more than world peace, though that's just as important, obviously. i don't think it's crazy hippie talk to say that the less people die, the better. but it starts with personal peace, or else any political cure is temporary. i just like peace.. it's comfortable. on a personal basis mainly. i just liek it. - prog rock:
music of gods! the discipline and perfection of classical music combined with the listenability and album structure, the attitude (?) of rock music. what the composer/band hears in their heads is exactly what you hear, hence perfect music. so's classical music come to that... but prog rock is more personal i suppose. and psychadelic. i love it so because my habit of analysing everything too much doesn't make me bored with it because there's always so much more!! - steve vai:
prog rock guy. great guitarist. but first and foremost a great songwriter/composer. plays the ibanez JEM, his own design (it has a HANDLE!!!) and one of the finest production guitars in the world. he's been around since the 80's and is an absolute nutter. and a genius. and a vegetarian. and an amateur philosopher and artist. best guitarist in the world, so they say, but i dunno. i think he as reached a plateau shared by too many to stand out. but he's one of the best songwriters ever. much better than any of his guitarist peers. - writing:
i like writing? i have a knack of evoking very um... evocative atmospheres in my creative writing. got around 95% in my english leaving cert exam... write for myself occasionally. written a grand total of one poem... a few scenes that make little sense but are very prety to read... that's it. but i CAN.

other news for those interested:
i had my debs. they were ok, i saw all the old gang again, bought cian a book because he's cian and deserves many books. he hugged me. i was happy :) (but now, by way of an update a few hours later, don't attach too much significanc eto that sentence. i'm not gay. and my world doesn't revolve around him. kate makes me happier, as does music. but he's still cian and deserves the official and worshipful recogtnition of all)
food was average. boring and undercooked but it was ok because raw vegetables are healthy. didn't get any photos, but sophia got many so i don't mind. a few of me and kate looking very happy together which was cool, apart from one where we were standing and looking distinctly uncomfortable. everyone looked mighty attractive, especially eiseart. oh my yes.
