Introduction to Exploration and Mining Session
I thought the course was excellent – both engaging and highly relevant. It gave a clear overview of the full lifecycle of mining projects and included a thoughtful deep dive into ESG, along with a solid dose of geology to keep things grounded 😊. I really appreciated how current and up to date the content was, especially with the inclusion of real-time industry news – it made everything feel very relevant. The mix of attendee backgrounds added even more value, as hearing different perspectives and experiences enriched the discussions.

The course was great.
It was very well and professionally presented in a less than formal matter. Sarah engaged well with the cohort asking us individual questions, and most people had their cameras on for the majority so it seemed like a comfortable place for most.
For me personally, as someone who sits in the PFS / FS of things it was very useful to think about the whole mine life cycle for a change. Further then that though it was very valuable learning about the stakeholder interest and how the success of mining projects is very much investor driven. A highlight was when the Lassonde curve was discussed.
Introduction to Exploration and Mining Session
I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this course, but I was pleasantly surprised. The course was very well thought out overall. The instructors presented the subject material in an informal, yet informative and interesting manner. They also took time to answer questions as we went. It was also good that they split it over 2 days. That made it a lot easier to maintain interest and enthusiasm.
Overall, I think this is an excellent intro to mining course, and would recommend it to others who haven’t worked in mining before, or need a bit of a refresher.
