SING YOUR HEART OUT
Okay, so I had SO MUCH FUCKING FUN TONIGHT.
I went out tonight with my coworker Megan and her boyfriend Tom and a few of her friends. We went to this gay bar over on Summit, called Blondie's. It was karaoke night (actually I got the feeling that every night was karaoke night and we just picked an arbitrary night to attend) and HOLY SHIT. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun.
It was weird. It was.... it felt like if we welcomed a new person into OUR group of friends. You know how we (erm, interesting use of the collective, Kathryn) are all huggy and very friendly and sing our hearts out? Yeah. That was Megan and her friends and her boyfriend. I smell like smoke and it was so smoky in there it actually started hurting my eyes and I'm pretty sure I lost some hearing, but OH MY GOD. I HAD SO MUCH FUN.
I sang Heart of Glass and Love at First Sight. I signed up for a bunch of other songs (including I Touch Myself, arrrr) but I didn't get the chance to sing 'em, cuz that's just the way it goes, yanno. So, I totally kind of fucked up the first half of Heart of glass, because I wasn't used to the way I sounded on a mic, not used to the sound of my own voice. O_O But then I did pretty well for most of the rest of it.
Oh my god, though, the gay guys? WERE SO CUTE. One came up to me after Heart of Glass and was all (seriously), "Honey, you are just so gorgeous. Are you a model? No? Have you ever thought about modeling? You really should, sweetie." *dies* And the second one was all (after love at first sight, which I dedicated to Mary, cuz she's on this huge Kylie Minogue kick) "Ohhhh, sweetie, you were FABULOUS just now. And you're so pretty!" *dies* I HAD SO MUCH FUN AIEEEEEEEEEE
And I might be rooming with Megan and her BF next year. CUz rent would be really cheap, it's right near campus, the house seems really excellent, and I'd actually have a parking spot. GO ME! We'll have to see, tho.
So, yeah. Thursday? Definately karaoke night for Kathryn.
And now I go to bed.
