I have a proposal, folks.
I'm sure most of you have, at this point, heard of "Trilogy Tuesday." (For those of you that haven't, on Tuesday, December 16th, 180 movie theatres nationwide are holding a special marathon session of the Lord of the Rings, showing Fellowship and Two Towers special editions, followed by the Return of the King, with 30 minute intermissions.) Since I doubt any of you were fortunate enough to wrangle tickets to one of these showings (I sure as hell didn't manage it) I suggest we have a have a trilogy tuesday of our own.
I would LOVE to get together with anyone who's interested the day before Return of the King comes out and watch both special editions of the first two movies (Extended edition of the two towers comes out December 12th) and then go to the best theatre nearby for the midnight showing. If we try really hard and keep our eyes peeled, we should all be able to get tickets, and we can go as a group. I'll even be nerdy and wear my elf ears that I got at Ren fest, and my own little One Ring. :) If you guys feel like it we can reach the height of nerd-dom and make special LOTR food (I'm sure there's a recipe for lembas online somewhere, or something). Hell, I'll make little invitations in Elvish, if anyone cares enough.
Comments, ideas, suggestions, offers? Am I completely retarded? Keep in mind I'll do this by myself even if no one else is interested, so you won't be deterring me. ;) And if anyone wants to volunteer their house, that'd be great, cuz we can watch it at my place if needs be but two brothers, a future sister-in-law and four dogs does not a peaceful movie-watching experience make.
