I have to be at the 7-11 by midnight!
Heeeeeeeee. So I reached a new level of dorkdom yesterday. *beam* Kara, Nicole and I went to see Gaelic Storm perform again. But oh, we didn't just go see them. We drove (well Kara drove) FOUR AND A HALF HOURS ONE WAY to see them. Which means that we got back at three-thirty in the morning. *cackles wickedly* HAIL TO THE RETARD!! (Yes, Mary, I can hear you. "BAH!!")
It was, of course, insanely fun. I was one of like a handful of people who got up and danced during the best songs, out of a theatre-full of about four hundred people, so now my feet are kind of rug-burned, cuz it wasn't a nice carpet and I danced in my bare feet (because, well, you just can't dance in Birkenstocks) And I bought a poster and got the boys to sign it and they seemed very pleased that we had driven so far to see them, so that was nice. Bob, their violinist and the guy who always stops to talk to me for several minutes and give me a hug, exchanged email addresses with me. (Of course, he's the one who's LEAVING THE BAND IN LIKE THREE WEEKS!!! *bang head against wall* He's such a good violinist, too. Piss...) The road trip itself was fun, too, though we were all really tired and a bit snippy at each other by the time we got back.
On another note, the 80's party at nicole's house friday night was fun as well, though it wasn't 80's nearly so much as a party. We did get all dressed up, but very few other people did, so much that we went back upstairs after a bit to change into normal clothes (as I had brought stuff in case of just such an occasion). I acted rather drunk and that's all I'm going to say about that. (Those of you who have seen me plastered can feel free to imagine. Arr.) And, gladly, I wasn't hungover, though I did have a bit of a small headache the next day. WHEE!
And today I need to do my French and English homework, return Gangs of New York, and clean up my apartment (Good GOD do I need to clean up). So. Time to get to work. Savvy?
