Listens: "Hills of Connemara" Gaelic Storm

Guess who gets to see Gaelic storm live.

Hmmmmmmm. *poke poke poke* Murray I hereby forbid you from making comments about my personal life because they FREAKING COME TRUE. *thwack* More on that later love, I have every intention of being online tonight for you. Mwuah!

Things have been vurra interesting in my life for the past... uh... three days. You all remember Scot? The guy at work that I've been crushing on, who is actually 31 (as I discovered?) Yeah, well, I'll try to make this as short as I can as it's rather complicated and such, but we're not just friends. *dies*

It starts Wednesday, when I come in to work at the usual time and Scot has already been there for several hours. Several hours of bald-faced flirting on both sides commence. He gets off work around like, 7 or so, and then he goes and sits with one of our daily regulars, Granny Lee, and talks to her for like an hour and a half or so, just sitting and drinking coffee. At this point it's pouring down rain, and since Scot roller-bladed to work to save gas I offered to give him a ride home. Despite the fact that he lives 15 minutes from work in the other direction from my house. I could say I was being nice, since I would have offered the ride even if it hadn't been Scot, but who was I to complain? He said yes, btw. So I end up dropping him off at his house and we exchanged cell phone numbers. Fast forward to several hours later. Scot calls me at like 1:30 in the morning, and I'm online talking to Mary and Jess at the time (huge surprise). for some bizarre reason my cell phone failed to go off, so he left a voicemail message and I immediately called him back. (weird-ass cell phone.) he was totally drunk, and said several sweet things and a few funny ones while he was at it, the most important ones being that he wished he'd kissed me when I'd dropped him off, that he couldn't stop thinking about me, that he'd mainly called to hear the sound of my voice, and that he couldn't wait till tomorrow (thursday) night, when he said he'd call me after I got off work and we would hang out. Hey there.

Right. So I'm insanely nervous and pleased and distracted for the next 20 hours or so. I hang out with Nicole thursday evening while I'm waiting for Scot to call me (we got Indian food, yum!) which he did. Nicole took off to go see a movie with her man (who happens to me 28, btw) and Scot and I ended up seeing Pirates of the Caribbean again (his second time, my third, HUZZAH FOR JOHNNY DEPP) and talked alot. Turns out that Scot is as obsessed with Lord of the Rings as I am, or as Mary is, for that matter, and also adores Harry Potter and loads of other delightful works of fiction, like the Wheel of Time series. He's reeeeeally smart... So we go back to his house, and one of his roommates is asleep and the other isn't home. (This is sort of awkward as I also WORK with one of his roommates, but at least she's the one who isn't home.) We watch the extended edition of Fellowship of the Rings (HUZZAH!!) and quoted practically the whole movie at each other. We also ended up hanging out last night, as well, and I spent the night both times, and drove him to work in the morning on my way home. Everything else is none o'yourn business.

So now, as you can see, my life is entirely too weird for words. How the hell did I end up pseudo-dating my 31-year-old coworker? This is definately a "WTF?" moment (Ben!) but hey... it's all good. I'm actually really laid-back about this, for a change. Either stuff happens, or it doesn't, but DAMNED IF I'M GOING TO STRESS OUT ABOUT IT GODDAMMIT.

In other news---Gaelic Storm is playing at the Dayton Celtic Festival! HUZZAH! *cheers madly* I'm going with my dad tonight, and you had better believe I'm excited about that. My mom will no doubt get home while I'm out, and I won't see her till tomorrow (she's been in Michigan with my Grandma and my younger brother for the past two days, and let me tell you, it kicked ass being in charge of myself again like when I'm at college. Mrr.)

Right, so this LJ post is more than long enough, and I have shite to do. Ta, loves.
