We have made a decree. Dave Matthews is to be the first Saint of the Church of Billy. Other nominees include Yoshitaka Amano and Neil Gaiman to start with, and there will be more, but Dave is the first.
The concert last night was totally indescribable. I am SO happy that Jo and Justin graciously allowed Leia and I to use their extra tickets and join them at the concert, because it was SO much fun. Dave and co. were in rare form, and the weather was perfect, and I felt closer to all the three of them than I have in ages. It was beautiful, and I mean that in the best and cheeziest possible way. Dave played a whole shitload of songs, all two and half hours of Dave goodness, including Crush and What Would You Say? and he ended the *normal* part of the concert with Twostep!!! MY GOD I LOVE THAT SONG~~ "celebrate we will, cause life is short but sweet for certain, hey! we climb on two by two, to be sure these days continue..." I love that man, he can sing about anything and make it sound wonderful. Leia and I danced around like fools and she bought me a glow stick, and I was so happy I thought I was going to cry.

*drumroll* All Along the Watchtower!!!! SQUEEEEEEAL~@!!! I never, ever thought I would get to hear that song live!! oh god, dave you rock my world.... all of you who think Hendrix's version was better can go eat corn with a fork and suck on an egg, FUCK you, Dave is SOOOOO much better!! *worships the air this man BREATHES~*
and Ok, I'm going to be serios here for a second, to enlighten you people who don't particularly understand why I hero-worship this man. First of all, he loves what he does. All you have to do is watch him perform to see that, he actually dances around the stage and so does the rest of the band. Second, he rights about real stuff. Living your life to the fullest and loving someone for who they are and not hating other people because they're different (and yes about getting high and having bad acid trips, those are in there too, I'm quite aware...) He's anti-war and anti-bigot and he's a sweet, sweet man. That, and I just love the way his music sounds.... maybe he doesn't have the best voice in the world but to me it sounds like water falling over rocks, so soothing and natural. ^^ <3 <3 and he's so loyal to his fanbase and to all his band members and friends... okay... you guys get the idea.
anyway, after the concert we listened to the rockin' CD deb made for me (singing "when I think ABOUT you I touch myself" as loud as we could out the window to the people walking by in the parking lot... wheee!! billy!) and played the Penis game all the way out to the highway. on the way home we stopped by Perkins for bathrooms, food, and general giddyness---we didn't want the night to end. dearest fuugaru was kind enough to buy me something to eat, as those bastards at Fifth Third have fucked up YET AGAIN and had to order me a new card for the THIRD TIME yesterday... *growl* so I didn't have any money.
it was wunnerful. and I slept like a log... yaaaay!
today I have to clean my room. @_@ for all of you who have never had the, ahem, *privelege* of seeing the hell-hole that I call my room, let me just say that it is honestly the worst thing you can possibly imagine, and your room has NEVER been skankier than mine is right now. ewwww.... I think I need to go in there with a flame-thrower..... I'm about ready to get out my Haz-Matt suit and some silver bullets while I'm at it, somethin' unnatural is probly nesting under my bed.... XD
sadness!! my Under the Table and Dreaming CD is broken!! *weeps* but John says he has an extra, and he's going to give it to me, bless him! *cheers* alllriiiiiiiiiiiiiight! speaking of CDs, Leia needs to give me back Everyday... *hint hint*
hmm, anything else? oh yes, the crooks in both my arms, where I gave blood on wednesday with Emily (they had to poke me twice, once in each arm) is bruising nicely. actually, the spot in my left arm looks like someone sank a pair of fangs in me, there's two spots right about that distance apart from each other right above the vein. O_o hmmmmm.... ^^
