Not dead.
Well, I'm back, and I'm not dead. I haven't read through my flist from last week, though a quick perusal seems to reveal that all anyone did in my absence (and by "anyone" I mean "approximately two-thirds of my flist") was shit themselves sideways over Harry Potter. Which I'm in the middle of, by the way, and enjoying very much, but I can't stand wank in general so I think I'm just going to avoid the internets for, like, another week.
Which won't be hard, seeing as I'm apparently scheduled FOR EIGHT HUNDRED FUCKING SHIFTS this week, so it's not as if I'll have time to SLEEP, much less fart around online. *facepalms*
A) California was beautiful; B) Oh my god WAY too many cars, I totally didn't notice last time, when all I did was take mass transit; C) Is it weird that I actually kind of missed the stanky, heavy humidity and 90-degree heat here in Ohio? Is it really summer if you aren't sweating just from the physical exertion of standing up? Apparently. This will take some adjusting. I took more pictures than is probably either decent or legal, and will hopefully get some posted here soon (just...shut up). You know, on some day when I'm NOT at work. Ha.
And now exhaustion suddenly caught up with me, so I'd better go to bed. Nghgaksjdghaksjghda. *restrains self from reading the last 300 pages of Potter in one go*
Edit: Yes, I know there was an earthquake while I was in Oakland. No, I don't remember it. Slept right through it. Sometimes it would take a fucking tornado to wake me, I swear...
