I'm not gonna say anything inspirational, I'm just gonna fucking swear a lot.
Well, the internet's back. (I have no idea why or what was wrong in the first place, but okay.) And for once I'm actually going to be around for a bit today. I'm dog-sitting. MY dogs. We have painters here doing the rest of the work (we encountered particularly stubborn wall-paper and a distinct lack of time, so my mom made the decision to get the rest of it done professionally - my reaction was along the lines of "meh") and I am holed up with them to keep them from eating anyone's face. Alexander will be back soon (he's at someone's house, house-sitting, ha!), but for now, I dog-sit.
Anyway. Raise your hand if you're pissy like me! For plenty of good reasons. Not least among them being that we spent $430 on my car's muffler yesterday (that's WITH a warranty that paid for the muffler itself - the rest of the cost was the OTHER parts, plus labor) and ...it's still not working right. Something's wrong with the engine. In lieu of taking myself out back and shooting myself in the face, I went to see "Transformers" with my family plus
jou and
tragic_frog. It fucking rocked. I want to see it again, actually, really badly, and maybe I'll go this weekend with a friend of mine or maybe I'll go by myself, but either way: it rocked. AND rolled. I want a fucking car that talks to me, jeez...
Well, I was gonna say something else here (ha!) but instead I'm going to post this fic rec: Harry Potter and the Eagle of Truthiness. It's a cross-over, one of the funniest I've ever read, featuring Stephen Colbert as Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Oh hell yes.
Have a nice day folks.
