A Day in the Life
Right.
So, today has been....interesting.... (STRESSFULL!!) ^^ To say the least.
It was very, very cold today. As in, booty-freaking cold. So, I didn't do as much walking around today as I might have, seeing as I cleverly left all my scarves at home in Centerville... my mom is sending them to me, though, because she's so thoughtful. I love me mum! ^o^
Derek (a guy from my anthropology class this quarter and my vampire class last quarter) and I went to lunch today at the student union, and we ran into a friend of his named Lawrence.... French boy!! Very extremely french. He lived in France for the first 17 years of his life, then England for 3 years, and now he's going to school here.... Dresses like a GQ model, but no trace of accent. He's INCREDIBLY cute, but just a tad on the short side... *sigh* thus is my lot in life.... Oh well! ^^
Like I said earlier, Courtney and Lyndsay and I went to the Viewpoint Bistro for dinner.... the really interesting stuff happened *after* dinner. As in, I'm sitting in the dorm room on the phone, Courtney's in the next room taking a nap, and Lyndsay is at her night German class. All of a sudden, our fourth roomie, Cat, walks in with her dad, her sister, and her boyfriend.... and a big red cart. She's MOVING OUT. Now, I know that she's been kind of anti-social recently, but this still came as sort of a surprise. She never mentioned anything at ALL (though the RA did mention she had been talking to Valdez, the head of Taylor, my dorm) and all of sudden she just shows up and takes all of her stuff, and leaves. O_o While this was all going on, Lyndsay and I went to CVS to drop off some of my film which, with any luck, will be done by tomorrow afternoon.
Now, this gets more interesting, because apparently Cat never talked to Tricia (our RA) or to Valdez that she had actually decided to move out other than the one original conversation. Moreover, neither Valdez nor Tricia know where she is, why she moved---anything. Apparently she went right to the head of housing for the whole damn school.
What's more interesting, is that NO ONE is supposed to be moving around right now---there's a housing freeze for the first few weeks of the quarter, to make sure all the newbies give their roomies a chance and don't move out immediately after moving in. So she must've gotten special permission. O_o And.... this has been going on for awhile, that we've *sort of* been having problems... mostly she's been completely ignoring us since school started again. But, we really have no idea why she left. Yeah, so um, now we have a lot of room! Right. So my roomies and I spent the past couple of hours re-arranging and re-decorating the room. That took us quite awhile, but now it looks very nice. Much less cluttered.
Anyway. Other stuff has been happening today too, that I no longer have the energy to go into, but....thank you to my friends who listened to me rant. ^o^ (cough *DART* cough) ;-) It's nothing for the rest of you guys to get worked up about, I just needed to get some stuff off my chest. Mostly just a venting of nervous energy, what with homework, and this thing with Cat, and god knows what else.... ^^
And now, my new favorite quote. I ripped it off my friend Kim's away message~~ I love it!
Harold, everyone has the right to make an ass out of themselves. You can't let the world judge you too much.
-Maude, Harold and Maude
That? Is going up on my wall.
And now? Goodnight, ducks. *smooches and hugs*
