Could I have been anyone other than me?
Blech. I am having self-esteem problems today, or something. Well, no, not exactly...More like, I feel like the odd man out. And it's for no real reason. I just have been sort of bummed over the past couple of days, because I'm a silly foolish girl, and it's nothing any of you lot need to worry about. I'll get over it, you just need to give me some time. Maybe I'll go listen to my darling Dave Matthews in a few minutes, he can always cheer me up. but right now I'm listening to the CD I bought this weekend. Bwee!
And here's my report on the con.
Ohayocon was a LOT of fun, don't get me wrong. I TOTALLY enjoyed it, even though we didn't go for all that long... the most fun, I think, was that we were all dressed up as characters from One Piece. Lots of fun! It's a total toss-up as to who's outfit was best. I think, that Sam as Usopp and Jo as Luffy and Josh as Zoro were the best, but both of our Sanji's (Leia and Brian) were quite nice. Our whole GROUP was great. *giggles* Yay for cheezy wigs! Even though mine and erin's itched to high holy heaven.
Highlights include lots of great costumes running around... the best ones that I saw were Vash the Stampede, Cloud from FF7, and a really really excellent Lulu from Final Fantasy X. Wunnerful! I bought a CD (MARS, duh, I'm listening to it right now) and Leia, my darling, bought me a pressie---a hide keychain!! YAAAAAAAAAAy for my favorite dead J-rocker! *giggles* Everyone needs a little hide in their lives. He brightens your day.
There was also a DDR arcade set up, which was quite cool.... Emily and I tried a song on very easy mode that I can't even remember the name of at this point, and neither of us sucked too horribly much. I'm actually not half bad at DDR, but I'm much better on songs from 3rd mix, which I own, and I didn't know ANY of these songs (it was 7th mix). Some of the people there were craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy awesome at it, just amazing....
Then we all went back to Josh's house, changed, and went out to dinner. We went to Pizza Hutt. Yes! And it was good. Erin, Jo, Traci and I all spent the night at Josh's house, and we watched Heavy Metal 2000 and the original Heavy Metal in that order. HM200 sucked ASS but the original was really fun. ^o^ Jo and I heard a hide with Zilch song from heavy metal 2000 that we recognized!!! Hilarious!
Then we all passed out cuz we was tired, specially poor Traci and Josh. Hee hee!
This morning Josh's mom made pancakes and bacon and eggs for us. Yum! Very nice of her. Then... we went back downstairs and played DDR summore. *giggles* And for those of you who don't know what that is (which just occured to me) DDR=Dance Dance Revolution, a dancing game. And I own the playstation version of 3rd Mix DDR with a fold-up dance pad. Fun fun. Jo, traci and Erin all tried it with me, and it was fun.
And now I'm back here.
But...
I almost sort of wish I hadn't gone. ;_; Because, I hate spending money when I know I really shouldn't or don't need to. And what's worse, is I have to pay back Jo and Josh and Erin, who all loaned me money in some shape or form over the weekend. (Loads people load other people money for this weekend, so it's not quite as bad as it sounds, but I just have a thing about owing people. >_< I HATE it.) I feel worthless and silly and unprepared whenever I have to borrow money from people, even if I pay them right back when I get back to the house, because I feel like I'm infringing on them or annoying them somehow. The blue wig was 30 bucks, and it cost 20 dollars to get into the con (I had that!! I didn't need to borrow money for that.) and the gackt cd was 15 dollars, and erin covered everyone for dinner (not to mention lunch, which was her treat) and godDAMNit I shouldn't be spending this money. I'm a broke college student. What the FUCK am I thinking spending all this stupid money?!?! I HATE MONEY!! I HATE IT!!! ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!
Okay I'm done.
Please, don't pay any attention to me. I'll be okay... just give me a little bit...
