The place where I fell asleep inside you
Am I the only one who finds herself loving songs that came out years and years ago, that everyone else seemed to love *at the time*, but when the song first came out---ya hated it?
I used to loathe a LOT of my current favorite songs. Witness:
-"Take My Picture" by Filter. This song needed TO DIE when it first came out.
-"Yellow" by Coldplay. Now I am a hardcore Coldplay fanatic. Unh. This song is so beautiful. I thought it was whiny as hell when it first was on the radio.
-"Drops of Jupiter" by Train *ducks the mud* HEY!! I don't know how or why but I just started liking this song somewhere along the line. *Shuffles*
-"Like a Stone" by Audioslave. I thought Chris Cornell needed to get the fucking marbles out of his mouth the first time I heard this song. Now that's one of my favorite albums. Go figure.
-"When I Come Around" by Green Day. OH MY GOD, I HATED THIS SONG SO MUCH when it first came out. Not as much as "Time of Your Life" but Jesus, this was so overplayed. ...yeah, I can hear you laughing at me. Go on. It IS pretty funny.
-"Wonderwall" by Oasis. This song is still annoying, but now it's really annoying in a way that I like. No, I don't know either.
-"Semi Charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind. HEY, Y'ALL REMEMBER THIS SONG? I wanted it TO DIE when it first came on because it was seriously on the radio EVERY TIME I TURNED IT ON. Now I love it. Probably because it really seems to represent to me the moment when I started to become aware of the culture that I lived in. It was That Song that pretty much summed up me entering high school. Funny, I only figured out a year or two ago that the song is about drug use and sex. XD XD XD
Allright I'm done being inane. *runs off*
