In which I ramble at Great Length...
...because I have SUCKED lately at updating this thing! GAHH!!
That, my friends, is a sign that I've been vurra vurra busy. So busy that it seems like I never have time to do anything, anymore. :D Ain't that just the luck?
I have, on the whole, been very happy lately. I had a period of Two Hellish Weeks but everything within that time period was just temporary suckage, if you take my meaning; car getting towed, midterms, me being ill in unpleasant ways, etc. Nothing permanent. In fact my permanent situation has been really terrifically awesome, of late.
I am getting the best grades I've had for a quarter since I CAME to OSU. I'm taking 20 credit hours, and while it's kicking my ass I am getting straight A's, and considering how hard the classes I picked for this quarter are? THAT IS PRETTY FUCKING AWESOME. I'm not gonna lie, I'm really happy and proud of myself. And I think I have a reason to be. Because in addition to kicking academic ass, I'm also holding down a part time job and still actually have something resembling, you know, a life. I knit and I am addicted to the old video game ROMS my little brother put on a CD for me (Legend of Zelda:A Link to the Past IS MY NEW CRACK), I spend probably way too much money visiting people in Dayton and Nicole down in Miami when we can swing it, I see my family on a regular basis... I'm happy.
Some things I've had to let slide. My apartment is, at the moment, a disgusting rathole. *laughs* It's a little better than it was; I reached an "AUUUUGGGH!!!" point today in which I just decided to say "fuck it" and do some cleaning, regardless of how much homework I have to do. Heh. But, like...I'm in a couple of games at the moment, one of which I've been with since it started very nearly a year ago, and that? Is cool. I even feel like my writing's been improving lately, something I was all worried about for awhile. Despite the fact that I've had NO TIME lately to write FOR said games. *Facepalms* SORRY, GUYS!! I really do love writing with y'all, I've just been busier than I would ever have anticipated. <3
And I know I say this near-constantly, but I have the most awesome friends in the world. I really, really do. I'm so lucky to have so many people who love me and understand me and make me feel happy and wanted. And who put up with my occasional forays into annoying obsessiveness. ;) Special kisses at the moment go out to
jou and leeloo9...just....because. Yeah.
Oh! Speaking of classes! Which...actually, I wasn't, but yeah. I am taking some ROCKING classes next quarter. I'm excited for all of them, but most especially for the class in which Harry Potter, the Hobbit, Edgar Allan Poe, Ursula K Leguin, and Alice in Wonderland are all going to be excerpted for our reading. HOW MUCH DOES MY SCHOOL ROCK? SO VERY MUCH.
