omg teh grammys

More tsunami support! Awe, yay. Musicians can be assholes but so many of them are also really good people. And how appropriate...Across the Universe. <3! *listens* I have always loved this song and...

Okay, I am really enjoying this, but honestly? It's a really BAD version of the song. That's kind of inevitable when you get so many different artists on stage, but hee. Some of them look embarassed to be up there (Norah Jones and Billie Joe Armstrong), some of them are getting WAY too into it (Alicia Keyes), some of them are using it as an opportunity to showcase their talents, and some of them look vaguely high. But omg SLASH AND DUFF! Slash, you're wearing your HAAAAAT! and HI there Scott, you're looking very...crazy in that white suit. But hot. And omg, Billie Joe could not have looked more embarassed or shy up there. And dayum, Stevie Wonder! He is ten kinds of awesome, dude.

AUUUUGH! SONG OF THE YEAR! *flails in anticipation* *DIES at Stevie Wonder opening the Grammy Award and reading the Braille on the award* Oh, hey, nice one John Mayer! Good job sweetie. *kisses for John*

Can I babble more about the Across the Universe thing? Coz I wanna talk about that. ...JOHN, YOU ARE A TOOL. "Dedicated to my grandmother who had an awesome daughter named my Mom!" Tool. *giggles* I am trying to decide whether I care enough to pay at iTunes to download that version of the song, because, as above, it....really kind of blew. I enjoyed it, but mostly for the novelty of seeing a whole bunch of musicians be-bopping around on stage together trying to pretend they're really all totally thrilled to be there and not the least bit embarassed at all. It would probably lose its novelty if I had to listen to it without the fun of watching it. But I'd really love to donate to the tsumani relief...fund...thing, so we shall see.

And on another side note, Billie Joe really honestly can't sing too well when he's not snarling into the microphone or belting out a rock song. His voice is very well-suited to what he does, but pretty ballads aren't really up his alley. I mean, he sounded fine, but not outstanding, if you take my meaning. I still love ya, though, Billie. (As if there were any doubt...)

Y'all are still rooting for Green Day to win Album of the Year, right? COZ THEY DESERVE IT. ARRRR.
