Listens: "Jackass" Green Day

"No BUBBLES!!! I'm the *BLEEP*ing Prince of DARKNESS!"

I am going to take this moment to thank Jou for the adorable little picture at the top of the page. Domo Arigatou, Jou-chan!!!! ^^

*throws stones in the general direction of Kroger* ::grumbles obscene comments under her breath:: You know I'm really beginning to regret ever applying to work at that bleeping place.... *angry noises* It wouldn't even be so bad if those idjits could actually make their scheduling policy clear, but they can't sort their elbows from asshats, so I don't know what I expected..... *growls some more*

Allright so here's how it goes. When I was being interviewed, I most definately said, "There will be some days I can't work because I take piano lessons; is that OK?" And the woman said to me, "Oh, we'll worry about that later." So I'm like, that's fine..... And supposedly, the scheduling policy works like this: If you want a specific day off, or you can't work on a specific day, you tell them before the Thursday when all the scheduling happens; they schedule for the upcoming week every Thursday. Allright, no big deal, right? For some reason they had my schedule for like a week and a half ready, and they had me scheduled on a Friday, the night I have piano lessons. This kind of confuses me, but I figure, hey, as long as I tell them the Thursday before, it's all good, right?
Wrong. Anyway, I tell them the Wednesday before that I can't work that Friday, and I mention that I had talked about this in the interview; the woman gives me a Look that says "Sure you did Honey. and I'm the Queen of England."
So anyway... I go on my merry way...

Keep in mind that I am scheduled to work the following Saturday from 3:30 to 11 (this would have been yesterday) and I, having been incredibly burnt out (see previous entry doofus) called in sick. I got bitched at.
The woman said something along the lines of, "Well honey it sounds like you don't really want to work here, do you? This is the 3rd time you've called off, and today's our busiest day! This can't keep happening! You've worked here how long? A week, two weeks? This is unacceptable!" And then she went on about how I'd never said a word about not being able to work on Fridays.

Called off? Called OFF? What the fuck?! Bullshit. I told them *in advance* that I wanted those days off, that I couldn't work those days. (I'd had to tell them last week, BEFORE THE DEADLINE, that I couldn't work on a Wednesday, but I was only fucking training!! WHOO! huge loss at the registers people!! what the fuck?!) Saturday, I can understand, but that's ONE DAY. Somehow, I was under the impression that if I wanted a day off, if I told them before they scheduled me (and why the fuck where they scheduling me so far in advance?! one week I can do, but not TWO, and that's what they were trying to do!) that it didn't count as calling off.

So why the fuck am I in trouble? Would someone please explain this to me? Because I so do not understand. I am about ready to tell them to stuff it up their asses, but I need the money, and I need to at least give them a week, two weeks' notice. Because MFMAB (bagel place) hasn't called me yet, and if they still haven't by tomorrow, I'm calling them again. *glowers at Kroger*

I'm going to go call Kroger now, because I was under the impression that I was in trouble and was supposed to call them today. So I'd better go get that over with.... *glowers* Expect another rant soon.
