It's as simple as something that nobody knows...
Today was a good day.
I do miss the sun, and I have a feeling I would miss it more and more the longer I lived here, but I like rainy days. The soft kind where it's just kind of grey and it rains and you can walk around outside and smell the rain and see how green it is. Rainy days in Ohio tend to be VERY cold and unpleasant and it's just been nice here.
I went downtown with my camera today and just walked around and took random pictures. I went to Swain's, the department-esque store that is about as close as Port Townsend gets to a Wal-mart. I bought deodorant, and despite the fact that me have B.O. like ox (hahaha, TMI!) I bought the Lady Speed Stick stuff. Ah, whatever, if it's crap at least I only have to use it for about a week.
Then I walked around a little more and found this cool Thai restaurant. I actually haven't ever eaten that much in the way of Thai food before, and I got stuffed chicken wings (because you all need to know my dietary adventures today, ALL OF YOU). Was good...if not nearly as filling as it should have been for the price. *harumphs*
Then I went next store to this little herbal/tea store, which was REALLY neat. I got a tiny bottle of Jasmine perfume and *squints* Badger lip and body balm. Chai Rose flavored. It's...nice. And I got some friggin' AWESOME chai while I was there. Oh man, it was so nice and tasty and warm and yummmmmmm. *floats*
And then I took off (mind you, it was raining this whole time, and I was sans umbrella, and I...didn't mind) and I went back to this new age book/incense/crystal/what have you store that I can just spend HOURS in and read and look at the tarot cards and listen to the music on the intercom. It's really great. And I amused myself there for an hour or so, before I decided I wanted to come home.
And that was my afternoon. Yay! Food now. *stomach rumbles* see, I ate out, so I shouldn't be hungry, but I AM. Man, I want chipotle. More food than you really could want for such a good price. *slavers* Okay, stopping now. *bounces off*
