Billing

I’m in private practice without insurance billing. I do need to create a monthly invoice that clients can submit to carriers for out of network reimbursement. I can’t use your billing system. I’d like to be able to create one statement per month by going into the client, clicking on each session conducted and have something similar to a superbill created. I don’t want to create a superbill because then i have to create an invoice for each session; the statement tab lists the generation date for the bill while it shouild list the treatment date. If I create a superbill then I must wait for the client to pay prior to creating the superbill. I don’t want to create a statement and then a superbill. Can you streamline this process. There is a “statement” tab. Can you change the first column to list the treatment date? Also when I tried to send that to the clients they were confused about the invoice piece and didn’t want to pay each invoice separately and they also indicated the statement was not printer friendly. I may have to switch platforms because I can’t bill.

Live Transcribe !

Hey Upheal, I have used Upheal for several years now and wanted to say great job and thank you! Upheal has grown from its early days as a scribe into a full AI powered in‑session assistant. I am an OCD & anxiety specialist, and I use ERP, ACT & CBT based interventions. In addition to Upheal , I also run Deepgram for the live transcript feed during sessions. Live transcription allows me to track exact client language, mark cognitive hooks, and follow moment to moment shifts in phrasing. It also keeps the session flow cleaner because I am not flipping between tools or trying to hold every detail in my head while guiding exposures. Would you consider building a simple transcription feed or panel? Even a lightweight version would would let me stay entirely inside Upheal from start to finish . If building it natively is a larger lift, an API option with Deepgram or something similar would also solve the problem. (It would also strengthen Upheal’s position as the first true all in one intelligent clinical assistant) Feel free to reach out - I am always happy to share perspectives from a clinical perspective and real-world application experience! 🔐 Non-Clinical User Roles: Biller & Practice Manager

We're adding non-clinical user roles so you can give billers and office staff the access they need without opening up your clients' clinical notes. Right now every role has clinical access, so there's no way to bring on staff who shouldn't see notes. These roles fix that. You'll be able to assign a Biller role for staff who manage invoices, statements, and superbills across all your clients, and a Practice Manager role for someone who runs the day-to-day operations: scheduling, team members, and client records. Both roles can do their full job, but neither can see notes, treatment plans, transcripts, or any AI-generated clinical content. This means you can bring on non-clinical staff with confidence that the clinical wall holds, helping you stay aligned with HIPAA while keeping billing and admin running smoothly.
