▐ ELABORATE჻ PERSONALITY An angel.
That is what they call her and considering the way she acts as well as the way she looks, there is no reason to disagree. Sweet, kind, understanding, sympathizing, empathizing. On top of that, Nill is horribly easy to read, making up for her lack of voice in her expressions. She wears her heart on her sleeve for there is nothing to hide. Her voice had already been stripped from her throat, there were no lies that could fall from her lips, no secrets she could tell.
Silence is what makes her.
It is what makes her gentle. Makes her all those things that make her angelic. Because she is silent, she is always listening. She listens to people's problems, their confessions, their sadness because it is the least she can do for them. For the people she loves. Let them unravel their burdens because all she wants to do is see them smile. Nothing fake. A real smile. She would know what they are, because in silence, she learned the importance of body language, so she watches, reads people all the better without saying a word.
It is also what makes her helpless. She is quiet because she has no choice but to be silent. Frail and weak, Nill is quick to panic. Even now when she has been freed from her nightmares, memories of laboratories and experiments haunt her. Death frightens her because she knows better than anyone that she is easily broken. No one is as helpless as she who can't scream for her saviour. If kidnapped, she would not be able to scream for help, or fight back. Useless wings cannot take her to safety. She can only run or hide. A combination of both would be best.
Everyone calls her an angel, but in reality she is only a genetically modified human. The wings she wears-- though they move, though they flutter and retract-- are not hers. Her voice taken in exchange for flightless wings. Instead of an angel, perhaps a songless bird with clipped wings is a more fitting description of what she is. Nill is classified as a mutant, a genetically altered being that commonly has negative connotations. In other words, a "monster". It's unfair-- and if it's a word she hates, it is surely that one. They became "monsters" against their will, forced under blinding lights and gleaming knives. Heine too-- they call him a monster, always a monster-- she can't stand it (can't stand it enough that she bares her fist against a ruffian's chest). They couldn't be more wrong because he is the most tragic. Few people understand the darkness that stole their humanity. Only those who have been through the cold laboratories would understand. And Nill has been there. She lives, but cannot tell the tale.
The girl is not the hero of a story. Unable to fight, she can only lend her support off the battlefield, waiting for her heroes to return. She learns to patch up bullet-ridden clothes (she's still working on it), and how to apply first aid (a band-aid for Badou or two). In a dangerous world and unable to fight, she does her best to back up the ones that do fight by creating a place, a sanctuary, for them to return to at the end of the day. She is always waiting, in some shape or form, for the people she cares about. That does not mean she is patient, per say. Time passes by so slowly in the quiet church and even after distracting herself with chores, the feeling of waiting lingers. She waits for Heine. She waits for Badou. She waits for Naoto. And now she waits for Bishop. Nill waits for all of them to come "home".

Nill will easily be able to adapt and do what she can to help support the people around her.
