Almost a year later...

//You are standing on the sun-baked shores of what appears to be a sizeable island. Behind you lies a verdant jungle. The vast waters of an ocean stretch out before your gaze. Amidst the scatterings of arbitrary wreckage lies a weather-beaten bottle, partially concealed by sand.

//A closer inspection of the bottle reveals not a refreshing drink, but a tightly rolled up piece of vellum. Surely not a missive?

I'm updating. I've been using this account to stalk various beings recently (or just to read their LJs occasionally, whichever :P) and talking to cobrani today prompted me to breathe some life into these pages.

Donc, I shall attempt to sum up the past 8 months or so briefly.

Real Life - I passed my GCSEs with 5 A*s, 4 As and a B. I visited Croatia and Ireland during the summer, which was lovely. September heralded the start of my two years in 6th Form College and my A-Levels. I chose to study English Literature, History, Biology and Chemistry. The amount of work involved is just ludicrous, but studying subjects I enjoy acts as a reasonable foil to the workload. Christmas was excellent, my mother bought me a car. I've got two exams next week which I should probably be revising for right now...

Online life - Y!PP has been particularly satisfying this year. Things really took off not long after my last entry. I got promoted to Senior Officer in about June, after my exams - something I'd worked towards for a long time. The Diplomacy Office went well, too, as I made a friend in Fannon during the Scallywag War and in Zebulan too. When Zeb stepped down I was appointed head of the office and held the position until December. I was titled as a Lord of the flag when I stepped down, which was another major achievement. I entered a writing contest in October - Feegle deservingly won the grand prize of a parrot familiar and I was very pleased with my honourable mention and renamed sloop for my first entry into a high profile contest. The summer was filled with long days - sorry, nights of Y!PP. Piplicus randomly sent me a /tell about my exams shortly after I'd finished them. The next night, I started a conversation with him after having had a few drinks. Odd antics including the discussion of jugglign eggs ensued, and we've never looked back.

I also gave in and bought World of Warcraft in November. I can understand why it's so popular. It involves little to no skill, yet is incredibly addictive and fun to play. I was disappointed with the guilds at first, but I solved that problem by joining a newer, smaller one, with experienced players on new alts.

//You roll up the piece of vellum and replace it in the bottle. Turning east towards the climbing sun, you set off along the beach towards a rocky outcrop in the distance.
