1 There are an abnormal number of people named David in my life. My dad's name is David, my uncle's name is David, my best friend's father is named David. There are two Davids currently attending my school, and a boy named David used to be in my grade. He was born on February 29, which is something for which I only could have hoped.
2 I have a both-sides OCD kind of thing. Meaning, really, that it's just another reason for
shatterglass to look at me like I'm the weirdest person alive. Basically, I need to have the same sensation on both sides of my body, in the same place. When I'm paying attention. Example -- if I walk by a table and hit my hand and realise it, I have to stop, turn around, and hit my opposite hand in the exact same place before I can keep going. If I miss, I have to hit the first hand to accommodate the second, etc. Example 2 -- if I've had my arms crossed for a long time with my hands in a certain resting position, and I uncross my arms and then re-cross them, they have to be in the same position, else I get highly disoriented and try to fix it.
3 I have had the same two teddy bears to sleep with since the day that I was born. Both are girls, but both are named Gabriel (yes, the male name), and are shortened to Gabys (pronouned gay-bees). They are the exact same brand of bear, exact same model, but one is three years older than the other. My mother and father bought both of them two months before I was born, knowing that they would give me one and save the second for when I lost the first, but I was too smart. I found the second when I was three, and they've been mine ever since.
4 I have so many things piled onto my queen-sized bed that I often times end up with three square feet in which to curl up and sleep. Most of the time I end up moving to the chair next to my bed.
5 I have three brothers! Jason, the oldest, is 31, and is currently 14 years older than I am. The second, Ian, is 29, and is thus 12 years older than I am. Both of them are my dad's kids from his first marriage, and they are my absolute hearts. They're my rocks, and I don't know what I'd do without them. They refuse to believe that their baby sister (read as: me) has finally grown up and is moving on and falling in love and going to college. Kenny, then, is my step-brother, and I've only known him for 7 years, or so. I actually don't know how old he is. But I know that he's legally allowed to drink? Once, when I was camping with Kenny and his friend (and
shatterglass, too, but she was asleep), Kenny's friend was really drunk and tried to make a pass at me and Kenny told him he'd kill him if he tried anything. Which was sweet.
6 My new shampoo smells like cinnamon buns, and it makes me hungry every time I smell it.
