It's official. The black bear yearling Hope has been killed by a hunter. She was without her radio collared mother, at a bait trap, during hunting season. She refused to wear a collar. The hunter broke no laws, either legally or morally. If he'd recognized Hope, he wouldn't have shot her. Just a tragic accendent.
