On December 19, 2012 GameSpy Industries announced the end of an open program GameSpy. This program was designed to expand the field of game development providing access to GameSpy at low or no cost to small independent developers. So many games before this service, including Fear Combat, exposed the problem through the game multiplayer server list. As a result, Fear Combat worked on replacing the main server for the PC version.
