Writer's Block: Open book test

Based on the books on your bookshelf, what conclusions would people draw about you?

Probably that I read too much and really, really should get out more. A lot more.

Busy bee (beaver?) lately due to uni work...Too much is going on this month, seriously. I have two essays and a presentation to do. Even though I'm thinking of piking on the presentation, lol.

But, fortunately, I have a spacious and relatively quiet place to get on with all of this hideously painful work that needs to be done because, once again, I have been called upon by my aunts to house- and animal-sit for three weeks or so. They have just (like, twenty minutes ago) left for the airport to fly to China and here I am, ensconced in their lovely house and availing myself of their facilities. It really couldn't come at a better time, but I have to be a bit diligent about working because it's so easy to just sit in the tub for days and do nothing, lol.

So yeah...One of the essays is for JCTC, about the (now incredibly small) population of Jews in China and how they were able to completely assimilate and more or less disappear because they faced no ant-Semitic pressure from the native people (unlike Jews in, say, all of Europe). The other essay is about the globalisation of English and whether or not the spread of the English language can be considered to be linguistic imperialism. I'm actually kind of into both of them, it's just that I'm a serious procrastinator, you know? So any work I have to do feels a thousand times more difficult and involved than it really is. Must overcome procrastination. Urgh.

And then there's the JCTC presentation which is about something I'm not even sure I totally understand...Poor me.

Here's an odd side-thought, but I'd forgotten how stunningly attractive Phylicia Rashad was...I'm watching an episode of The Cosby Show. Forgive me, I just wikkied her and she's still gorgeous. I hope I look that good at 62, lol.

Ah...Lost my train of thought. Dang.
