Got back from watching my soccer team go down again. 2-1 this time, though, so it's not terrible. The real downer was the ref. He's this guy about my brother's age who's been a linesman for a while while his father was reffing (his dad's kind of a douche as a person, but he's a fair referee) and I guess he just either can't hack it or he's not terribly confident. Somehow I don't think it's a confidence issue, lol. He kept calling offsides where there weren't any and not calling a penalty when there should have been one. Urgh. Anyway, semi-final next weekend...I hope that we have a fuller team and that our players bring a better attitude (yet another issue with these people!)

Last night I went with my mum to an NRL (National Rugby League) game because she got a pair of free tickets from someone she works with. I saw our team (the Wests Tigers) manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...Again...playing agains a team that they really could have won against (South Sydney Rabbitohs...AKA the team that Russell Crowe owns). Speaking of Mr. Crowe, he was sitting above and behind us and looked none to pleased up until the last possible moment when his team won (that's luck for you) and he burst into a round of chipper-sounding praise and applause. Jerk. Anyway, the Tigers had the game right until the last ten minutes of extra time, when it was then a draw....And then the last thirty seconds saw them lose when the Rabbitohs scored their final try. Which was bullshit.

Anyway, my throat hurts - I've never made so much noise and a football game before.

Yet another week of uni begins tomorrow (I'm kind of wishing it would stop already, lol). I guess being there I'm constantly reminded of the fast amassing work I really ought to be attending to...Damn procrastinating. damn LJ making me procrastinate, lol. Could be worse - at least I'm not painting my room or something. Anyway, I've got one and a bit texts to finish reading and making notes on for my History essay before Thursday because I have to return them then (stupid short loan) and I also have to analyse two linguistic data sets and analyse some other speech samples for Linguistics...Due on the 16th, ta very much. 

Damn. Now that I've written that, I really have to do this work, lol. Feck.

Right after I walk the dog ;)
