Writer's Block: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

If I had a car, I would so name it. I mean, lots of other things I own have names...

Like my scarf (Stephen), my umbrella (Julian) and my best shoes (James and Callum), for example.

So, Skrinklets...

The other night I was hooning around on wikipedia checking out weird stuff...Birth defects, heart surgery...And then I got bored and checked out the details of a knee surgery I had back in 2007. Not that complex, sure I could do it myself, lol.

And then, on Sunday, about a quarter of the way through the first half of my soccer game, I bust my knee. I wasn't being tackled, I didn't twist it or anything. It felt like all of the springs and sprockets in there just fell apart...And I hit the deck. Hard. 

Anyway, long story short, I got off the field, watched my team lose and saw a doctor.

I told him what was what, he checked it out and then asked, "do you already have an orthopedic specialist?" To which I replied yes and he said, "good. Here's a referral to see him. Make an appointment tomorrow". The doctor thinks it might my my ACL (which I most sincerely hope it is not) but he can't tell without the MRI and X-Ray.

Made the appointment to see Dr. Kirsch (who did my last surgery) on Thursday when various scans and things will be done. I hope that nothing serious needs doing and that anything that does need doing can wait until July, after my uni exams. Damn.

My soccer season - and possibly illustrious footballing career - is over.

I'm just thankful that I wasn't looking at a wiki page for girders falling from cranes and crushing people or something. Fuck.
