Writer's Block: Young and driven
What is the legal drinking age where you live? Do you think it should be higher, lower, or remain the same, and why?
Eighteen is the legal age for boozing it up in Australia...Which is kind of pointless, really, because all it means to kids is that they can go and drink in a pub. Pretty much everyone I know has been smashed to the point of no return well before eighteen, lol.
I'm not sure what I think about it. I really don't think the age needs to be any younger - as I say, there's already a thriving under-age drinking culture in this country...So perhaps the big 1-8 is about right.
