Subjects, Units and Requisites, Oh my!
OK, so it's not as if tonight is my first trip to the USYD website (who am I kidding, I've been a lurker since I started that English Literature course, lol), but tonight is the first time that I've actively trawled the damn thing for information and my dear Lord, my head is about to roll clean off my neck. Actually, melt off might be a bit more accurate.
I've managed to decide basically on what I'll be studying...I think...I was originally thinking about majoring in linguistics, but now I'm not sure. Hrm. I'm now thinking it'll be either that or english, the good old standard, lol. I adore both the subject and the language so I think it makes good sense to keep doing that. Well...That and I'm pretty good at it. Yay me.
The other subjects I'm thinking about rather carefully are philosophy (lovely, some subjects I can understand and one I can't) because the units of study for semesters one and two are really interesting, and Jewish civilisation, thought and culture for a myriad reasons, but one being Judaism has always been interesting to me, as has Jewish history, so it makes sense to take a closer look at a subject that lets me study both of those things.
So, so far it's pretty straight forward. Except for the decision making thing. Man, I hate that. I wish someone else can choose this stuff for me.
I've gotten some more helpful information in the mail, which is always nice (I like mail...But not bills) and I think I'm fairly prepared for Friday next.
Today marks the end of my last full week at work and I'm delighted. Next week I only have three working days because Tuesday is Australia Day (that day of beer and barbecues) and Friday is enrolment.
My brain is officially mush, so I'm going to further the mushiness by heading over to YouTube.
