Possible spoilers to those who haven't seen HP HBP.
OK...
So I just - like, nearly two hours ago, so not "just" - got back from watching the new Harry Potter movie. I have to say it was disappointing. There's not really much else to say, I suppose. I understand, of course, that they had to cut out a lot of what might have been seen as the "extraneous" stuff otherwise they'd have ended up with a six hour long movie, lol, but that was the beauty of the book, you know? The furthering of Ron and Hermione's awkward romance (which will be awkward until their dying days, I think) and the new thing with Harry and Ginny (who I'm in love with. Even though Bonnie Wright is too young for me. Illegally so, I think). And one can't forget all of the stuff regarding the Half-Blood Prince...All we get from Snape is him saying that he's the HBP. That's it!!!! I love the whole backstory from the book....I guess the sixth book was about bridging the gaps and the movie was about continuing the main story.
And don't even get me started on those Malfoys...Narcissa doesn't look anything like I'd imagined - I mean, what was with that hair?! And Draco, poor love, looked terrified the whole way through. I'd have made him more pensive and broody...He might have been terrified, I would have been, but he's a blasted Malfoy, for Christ's sake!!! Lucius would have been pissed to see the boy look like that.
And yes. As I say, I am in love with the youngest Weasley. How sad is that? I think I shall respond to this with Weasleycest. There's not enough of it in the world *snerk*...OK, maybe there is, but there can never be too much Weasleycest. (As there can never be too much Malfoycest!!).
Back to real life...
I've been nursing what might be the beginnings of the flu. Started with a scratchy throat on Thursday, then turned into a sore throat and cough during yesterday. On the train ride home yesterday it sort of hit me...A runny nose, painful sinuses, headache and this morning I woke up with an ear ache...Fortunately I had the good luck to have Demazin 12 Hour on standby and you know, a little pseudoephedrine goes a long way, so right now I feel OK - tired and sniffly - and I should be able to sleep fine, but tomorrow won't be fun. Fortunately I have one Demazin left and that should get me through my soccer game at 1pm.
I'm not expecting soccer to be fun tomorrow, as it happens. Coming out of the movies I decided to have a little too much fun and slid down a railing to some steps. No problem, done it a million times before...Misjudged the steps and rolled my ankle. Sort of to the point that my foot slipped almost upside down (if that makes sense) and my ankle hit the ground. Lol, for a split second I thought, "Oh good. I've just broken my own ankle". It's swollen, sore and a little bruised, but not broken. I'll use painkillers and strapping tomorrow and soldier on.
Anyways....Nothing much happening. Have to read the remaining pages of David Malouf's An Imaginary Life for uni on Monday night which I'll get to tomorrow...Or Monday morning on the commute, lol...
Bah. Going to pop some painkillers and go to bed. I hurt.
