My dogs are barking...

What ho, all.

I'm in Melbourne and staying at The Victoria Hotel. It's an Art Deco style building that has pretty much gone to seed...Which sounds bad, but it's not a dive. It's nothing flashy, but it's right in the CBD, so I'm not complaining about that. Surrounded by shops.

We arrived yesterday and hit the streets pretty much straight away. My initial intention was to search for a new coat, but sadly, that idea has gone the way it always has...I searched my arse off in a billion and one shops and I can't find a coat I like. It's got a zipper, it doesn't have a collar, I hate the cuffs...Ugh. Too hard. So, I'm sticking with the coat I have.

Anyway, yesterday I went to Anton's in Melbourne Central (they have a shop in Sydney, too, which I adore) and bought a shirt and a pair of cufflinks. Today I went back and bought another shirt and a gorgeous (really gorgeous) vest. Hilariously enough, I was served by a woman named Lily who used to work at the Sydney store and sold me my first suit for my year 12 formal. More hilariously? She remembered me. While I was there yesterday, they called David at the Sydney store to see if he had a coat I liked (he didn't), and then he called back to wish me a happy birthday. Aw. I want to keep him.

Also yesterday I bought the pair of shoes I've been searching for for ages. A pair of brogues. In unisex sizes!!! They're black and...Well, they're brogues. Seen one pair, seen them all, really, but they'll double as work shoes and other shoes, lol. God, I'm so happy with that purchase...

God...So much walking, though. My feet are going to fall off sometime soon and I'll be left with nought but bloody stumps. Not attractive, but it's a fact. I'll be more sad that I can't wear my new shoes, lol

So, I've shopped extensively. I also bought a few books....All in all, I've spent over $1000 and my shopping muscle is well and truly strained. I'm happy, though.

Tonight, we're off to see Wicked and I can't wait.I'm so stoked about it. It's pretty much the reason we came down to Melbourne, lol. And now, I've got almost a whole new outfit to wear :P The excitement of seeing the show makes up for the windiness...Brr...

So, I'm going to biff off and get changed (suiting up, chap-style! Pissed that I forgot my Trilby, though) and head out for dinner and then onto the show!!

Nernight, all xoxo
