Christ...

Today I went out with my mother and Snappy - To different sorts of places, however.

I went to:

Sugar Fix where I strove to undo all of my dentist's hard work. I spent $20.40 and bought candy corn, Twizzlers, Jelly Bellys, a Butterfingers bar, a packet of Cadbury's chocolate buttons and assortment of boiled lollies from the UK. Yum. I haven't been able to find foam shrimp anywhere, though, so that's a mite disappointing. Nevermind that.

Anton's where I bought myself a lovely pair of cufflinks for the low, low price of $80. I couldn't help it, they were calling me and were the right colours for my newest suit. Shades of brown and I believe *checks* a square shape (not that my suit is square). Got to talking with the guy who works there, David (I think I've mentioned him before), and we chatted a lot. Largely we talked about the state of affairs with the Skygarden building where that shop is located - Westfields shopping centres own it, I think, and there's some rebuilding being done in that building and the others surrounding it so the businesses have to move out. It's looking like David is going to have to move elsewhere, possibly Paddington, which is so not handy.

Rivers where I spent $25.40 on a medium weight cotton sweater in chocolate brown and three pairs of socks in rather whimsical colours...OK, two whimsical colours and one rather plain one, lol, green, red and grey. Love the sweater, though. I didn't try it on (oops), but I'm sure it'll look good. But if it doesn't, it was on special for $20, so that doesn't bother me too much.

Last but not least, I went to Camper and spent $290 on yet another pair of shoes. They're a purple patent leather, but they have the same shape as a pair of skate shoes. I bought my black and tan shoes there for Karina's party.

All a grand total of $415.80.

I've just read back on all of that and I think I'm going to be sick...Or my wallet is going to be sick. I don't really need any of that stuff...Except for the socks, really, but it's nice, I think. Put it this way, I'm doing my part to boost the economy. Shame on the rest of you for not shopping more.

Jeebus.
