More books...
I made another Amazon purchase...I can't help myself.
I used the $100 prepaid Visa card my dad gave me for Christmas and bought three more books...Ones I really can't live without. Heh.
And this will do me. For a while, at least.
I read and finished The Liar today. I have a feeling that if I'd have caught up with the plot early enough it would have been a brilliant read, lol - I'm slow. To be honest, I liked it, but I'm going to have to read it again because I'm quite sure I've missed something and I hate that feeling. Loved the little plot twists and couldn't get enough of the main character. It was cool, too, because parts of The Liar are lifted almost verbatim from Fry's life...Or at least the life he's lead as portrayed in Moab.
And yes, you read correctly...I would like to learn to play chess. Although my previous attempts have been...Um...Paltry and not worth mentioning. I do know that knights can only move in an L shape, however. So there. I don't think I'll get my mum to try and teach me this time, though...Last time I ended up confused and she ended up frustrated and we didn't speak for the rest of the afternoon.
Anyway, work tomorrow. Bliss.

- Chess For Dummies (because learning to play chess is one of my NY resolutions)
- Edgar Allen Poe: Complete Poems (because I don't have a Poe volume with both The Raven and Annabel Lee)
- Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything [revised edition] (because I want it)
And this will do me. For a while, at least.
