Ugh.

So, that's Christmas done for another year. Went by quickly.

Drank way too much yesterday, which is odd for me considering I don't drink with meals and I don't drink at home. I started drinking with lunch and was pissed by the time everyone left about an hour and  a half or so later. I drank two bottles of champagne to myself and then went halves in another three with Snappy. I was extremely drunk before the sun even went down....And I woke up in a pool of my own sticky drool and vomit in the bathroom. I've bruised my eye where I cracked my head on the tiles.

My mother always says to me, "see? You know how to control yourself. You don't really have an issue with drinking". Dispute that. Remember December 25th, 2008.

Anyway, went to my father's fiancee's parents house (mouthful, much?) today for lunch and stuff and went for a swim. I think I'm burned. But we had fun.

Christmas Eve dinner at my Grandmother's was something else, though. She's not really in a great place right now, I think. People have told me that she's started to get forgetful, but because I don't see her all that regularly, I've not paid much heed to it. But, they're right...My aunt called her that morning to remind her that we were all coming over, then my father's fiancee called a few hours later to remind her and my Grandmother had forgotten. So, thinking that she'd been sufficiently reminded of everyone's impending arrival, my dad and co. showed up and there'd been no preparation or anything like that because she'd forgotten both phone calls. She's not taking care of herself or anything that well either, which is a bit of a worry.

I swear that I'll never let myself get like that.

So anyhow, onto the presentage. I got a new phone *squee*. It's a Nokia 6500 and it is very slim and pretty (and won't ruin the line of my skinny jeans ;). I got Hairspray and Boys Don't Cry on DVD. Most good. I got a gorgeous 100th anniversary edition of Peter Pan, so now I can actually read the book and have something to back up my claim that J.M. Barrie is a favourite author of mine, lol. I got some money and gift vouchers, too ($80 Dymocks card and...Something else).

I'm going shopping tomorrow to pay a visit to the Apple store in the city. I'm buying myself a sexy Mac laptop and totally blowing my savings. I, single handedly, will ressurect the Australian economy by following our Prime Minister's advice...Spend, spend, spend.

Peace.
