Who ever invented Christmas should be nailed to a cross...

Went to the work "drinks and bits" do today. You know, some of these people are just as pointless and boring outside work hours as they are during the day. God, I hope I'm not like that.

It's Christmas Eve Eve.

Much to be done over the next three days....

1) Chrismas Eve dinner at my Grandmother's, although it's known to us as the annual non denominational holiday family get together. Or some such nonsense. That's what happens when you have JWs for relatives - a great reason for getting together turns into some large meal for no particular reason. Well, my grandfather used to love having us all there, so I think that's why she still does it. Tradition and all that.

2) Christmas Day at my mum's place. Maternal family comes over for lunch. Difficult, loud and funny people crammed around a table...Much like normal people's families, actually. Also present giving and recieving - here, the giftage is emphasised...I don't quite know why that is, but over the years I've come to recognise signs of extreme oneupmanship (I'm sure that's not all one word) and I find it entertaining.

3) Probably back with my father to open presents and eat more food with the sibs. Yay! Though currently this part of the plan is a little blurry - I'm not sure when Benj and I are going to padre's, but I'm sure we'll work it out.

So yeah. If I don't update between tomorrow and Boxing Day, I wish you all a very (very) Merry Christmas (for those who are celebrating it and for those who aren't) and a happy and safe New Year...Although, I've no doubt that I'll spend this New Years' the way I did last year....Here, online. Alone.
