Writer's Block: Wild Rumpus

A lot of characters in kids' books have it pretty good, from calling the start of the wild rumpus to ordering room service from their hotel suite. If you could be any character from children's literature, who would you be?
That's easy - I'd be Peter Pan.

So. Thursday. I got Guitar Hero: World Tour. It came in a huge box (heh, how gross does that sound?) and it weighed twelve kilos. Fucking huge. But seriously? Getting it was up in the top five or the top ten best moments ever in my life. Which is sort of sad. But it's awesome. The new guitar is fucking wicked - it's got a slider and everything. The whammy's in a better spot, too, which is nice. The drums take up a bit of space and are kind of fiddly, especially getting the height right (rhyme!). I think my chair (I have a gaming chair) is a little low, but who cares?

OK. So, now that I have that out of my system *squee*, I can blather on about other unimportant things.

Went swimming today. Getting a bit better, definately progress on last week. My arms hurt and I think they recently rechlorined the pool, so I had little red spots on me, but I feel good that I'm sticking to this (loose) exercise plan. Sort of.

Went shopping today, too. Actually it was a two part mission - Part One: Check out where the recruitment centre is in relation to the station (check), and Part Two: Christmas Shopping: (Not check). I bought a DVD for my father and my mother bought a T-Shirt for my brother. I also bought a double guitar stand for my two Guitar Hero guitars, the Hairspray DVD and a brand spanking new pair of black low top Chucks. My mum bought the Chicago DVD and Pink's new CD. Well bloody done.

Today I also made the decision that in between Christmas and the New Year - when the sales are on - I will buy myself a Mac. I feel I deserve one (for no real reason) and they are pretty. Paying for it won't be, but who cares? Glad mum was with me, lol, I'm not terribly technologically savvy, which is unusual in a Gen Y.

Have to mention this here because I'm sure someone, somewhere will get a good laugh out of this - all of this past week I've been having the most strange and vivid dreams, seriously odd stuff. The first one I can remember heavily featured spiders. They weren't gigantic or anything, but they were very up close for some bizarre reason, so the detail of them was very clear. The next one involved my brother throwing this DVD case that had a stick of pot in it and I was running my arse off to catch it before it hit the ground *shrugs*. Another was where I was in the States, riding a bike to (or through) some college campus and I think I got lost or something. But the ultimate, very strange dream was the most recent one...*ahem*...I had contracted something called "Mitochondrial Chickenpox" ('mitochondrial'...See? I paid attention in Biology) - the doctor in my dream told me it wasn't itchy, but it was extremely contagious, which lead me to being quarantined in my bedroom.

I don't even know *shakes head*.
