Ha
I'm back, motherfucker.
So, last night my dad and I did what we'd been planning on forever. We went on a ghost tour in The Rocks. Yeah!!!! Lol, I know, lame, but The Rocks is my absolute favourite place in the entire city, you have no idea. I think it's just because it's the oldest part, you know? Right where it all started from...800 convicts (600 men, 200 women) transported here from merry old England for crimes varying from murder to stealing a loaf of bread.
I don't know. Anyway, to me it's just the overall feel of the place that I love. Walking throught the cobbled alleyways and passing by old pubs. It smacks of brilliant social history. But then again, I'm a freak.
Didn't see too many interesting things, but I haven't checked my photos yet, so we'll see. But it was a barrel of fun.
The tour guide (Les) gave us each a voucher for a free drink at the Harbour View Hotel, so my dad, myself and this American guy called Howard headed off to the pub for a few drinks and a chat. Talked about history, about ghosts, about the legal drinking age in our respective countries. Lol, I think the thing that got the biggest reaction was about that new law we have to deter repeat speeding offenders....Licenses will be revoked and cars will be crushed. No shit.
Anyhow, Howard and I got to talking about books and writing and about me travelling, and he was kind enough to give me his card so I could get in touch with him when I got to the States. Yay.
So....Aside from that, nothing all that interesting has been going on. I've been writing a lot lately - mostly fanfics, but at least it's something. I've got something in another window right now that I'm nearly finished, though it might take another day or so to finish up. My brain's pretty much wiped right now, lol, but if I can get it done tonight, I will.
Man, I just can't believe how stoked I am to be back online. Yay.
