Et Lux In Tenebris Lucet.

Working boi today. Which is funny, right?, because I only work on Saturdays and today is most definitely not a Saturday. Aren't I lucky? My mother hounded me and tried to guilt trip me last night into coming to work a couple extra days a week to help her take the pressure off. Because I'm nice, I said yes. Well, that and I need the money.

So, basically, I spent the whole day poring over paperwork, which I hate to do. But at least it makes the day go quickly. Fortunately I get to leave soon...I have a check up with my surgeon.

Everyone should read Man's Search For Meaning  by Viktor E. Frankl. A book that contains the Nietzsche quote, "He who has a why to live can bear with almost any how" can't be all bad. In fact, if I wasn't working, I'd be at home, on the couch reading this book. I'm only up to page 76 (of 221), but it's riveting. It's about man's ability to survive almost anything if he feels he has a reason to live. The author, Frankl, is a psychotherapist and existentialist. Frankly, a psychotherapist who's survived the holocaust (the tale on which his theory of logotherapy is based) is a psychotherapist one ought to listen to.

So yeah, that's me for today. Or at least right now. Who knows, I might post later tonight...Hopefully not at 3am.
