Pfft.
So went back for my appointment with specialist/surgeon Dr. Kirsh yesterday morning with my MRI results.
The MRI pictures look so weird. And so much cooler than x-rays.
Anyhow, he was saying how there doesn't look to be any ligament damage or bone damage (which is good, because that would lead to a reconstruction) and the cartilage looks mostly OK (mostly?), but the problem is one that I've encountered before. Patella mal-tracking. It's where the kneecap doesn't sit in the groove that it's supposed to sit in (poor sentence construction, I apologize). Moreover, the groove in my knee isn't very good, so he's going to remove some tissue (hurrah) and make a better groove, hopefully getting the kneecap to go where it ought to.
Unfortunately, I'll have to go back to the physio *groans*.
So yeah, Tuesday next week. He said "next Tuesday OK for you?", and I was expecting you know, like two or three weeks away, "You mean, Tuesday like next week?" "As opposed to Tuesday today, yes". Hmm.
He said that the kind of arthroscopy I'm having done is pretty routine, but it bleeds a bit and swells up quite a lot. I told him that it didn't matter, so long as there were pain killers involved, lol. Luckily it's a day surgery, which I couldn't be happier with, but the problem is after there's been someone fossicking around in my knee for an hour, I'm supposed to get up and walk around on it. Let me tell you something, bucko, I'm not walking anywhere, lol.
Oh, and I can't smoke a week prior to the surgery. Today is day two sans nicotine. Someone's head is going to get busted.
So that's me. Life is quiet and confused at the moment. Haven't spoken to Legs in quite some time. It'd be cool if I could find out what's going on so I can fully grasp what it is I ought to be doing, but you know, whatever. I'm no mind reader, you know? I figured that if/when she wants to talk to me, she knows how to find me.
Peace.
