Geez...

So now that I'm not feeling that "constantly about to throw up" feeling that I've been battling since yesterday, maybe I can make some semblance of a normal post. Maybe.

So I wasn't going to go to the pub on Thursday. I'd been having a beyond shitty week (the issues of which have since been resolved) and all I wanted to do was to go to training and smack the leather off a soccer ball....But I got dragged (metaphorically, of course) to Bar Broadway by the two current bad influences in my life (Jess and Rachel).

So we sat and I wound up staying. We had a few drinks and us three spent some time getting to properly know one another. We chillaxed until that wicked pair discovered that I'd A) Never gotten drunk in a park or B) Never drank Passion Pop (look it up on wikipedia if you're unsure). So, we left the bar.

Onward to a bottle-o (liquor store, for you americans) where we picked up some Pop and two bottles of Chardonnay. We arrive at Hyde Park and find an appropriate location. We're approached by some cops and are moved along, lol....Moved to a better spot near a fountain!!

Much chatting later and we're caught up by Sonja, Brent and Squeak. More drinking. More Chardonnay, some Bourbon and Coke and Whiskey. Rach and Jess see who can last the longest standing in icy cold fountain water. Rach rolls into the fountain, rofl....I don't know how that came about. We talk a lot about everything and anything...And probably more things that that. Peeing in bushes ensues, as it does after much alcohol. We're moved along once again (as a result of the drinking, not peeing in the bushes) and we part ways.

Rach, Jess and I head to The Imperial Hotel where we watched a couple drag shows (three cheers for the sound of music!!) and I watched Jess beat Rachel at pool (very barely). More drinking, some dancing, lots of idle banter. We stay until the Impie closed and then we walked to a small, secluded park in Erskineville....With another bottle of Chardonnay. Good lord.

Some serious (and seriously drunk talk) comes about and I learned more about the pair of them....Jess has wound up with more credit than I think I could ever give a person. She's a tough nut. Rachel too - partly because of the military in her (navy), but because she's a human with a story too. I think that night and those conversations that took place there in that park were epic in some ways. Very positive and deep.

The time came and we walked Jess home. Rach and I cabbed it back to hers (at 5am, friday morning) and chatted some more. Her place is pretty nice and her housemate's cats are insane (but beautiful, of course). We were very well-behaved, in case anyone was wondering, lol.

Arose at 12pm and got a lift to Central on the back of Rach's bike. Much goodness. I'd have gone right home, but I was meaning to pick up my HSC timetable from TAFE....Which I didn't end up doing because I got caught up both chatting to people who'd been involved with the previous night and resting my head on the table, moaning about my hangover simultaneously.

I think some people got the wrong idea about me crashing at Rachel's house (the conversation went, "Did you stay at Jess'?"..."No."...), but I think I successfully reeled them in, lol.

All in all? Fucking brilliant night out. I'd love to do it again, but thursdays are becoming a hassle.
