omg omg omg omg......
Oh my god.....
I just got back from seeing the Priscilla stage show at the Lyric Theatre. It was.....Fucking amazing. You would not believe....Fucking hell. We (my two mad aunts and my mother and myself) were sitting on the same floor as the stage. Right in the middle. For $96 tickets, they'd wanna be fucking great seats...AND THEY WERE!!!!!! WAAAAHHHH!!!! Lol.
Sorry to fanboi here, but Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is my all time favourite musical....Ever. And for those who really know me, that's a fucking huuuuuge call.
Any how, I really enjoyed it. Mincing along like the queer hybrid that I am. Geez...You know, I'm going to have to say that there were some very attractive people....Men included....In this show.
Christ. Before I go into a blow-by-blow ;) retelling of the show, I'll move on....
To make this post relevant, let's pretend that it's still the eleventh, okay?
Peace be with the spirits of those brave, young and possibly foolish, ANZACs who gave their lives to fight and protect us. Sadly we have no living ANZACs left, but their memory will be with us always. Lest we forget....
And yet another sad piece of news, Belinda Emmett passed away early this morning, losing her long battle with terminal cancer. She was still only in her twenties and married only a year. Not that I'm a prayer type person, but I certainly will send Rove McManus and the Emmett family some positive energy tonight.
I'm not all emotional or anything. I don't really do that....But I'm a contemplative person as it is.....It's so odd to me that a life not even half lived should be snuffed out so early. Why is it that some people die young and others die old. Do the good really die young? Is that why young people pass?? Because they've already done what they're supposed to? Why am I bothering with these questions.......
Anyhow, I'm tired. Very very tired, yet ecstatic and a tiny bit sad. Overall though, I feel OK.....
Oh yeah, 'Liza, they didn't do the best song from Priscilla. I think you know which one I mean :D
Goodnight, all, be safe xo
P.S. Getting through the city to the show was a fucking task, eh. Kylie's back in town and all these weird Kylie fans with sparkly shirts were all over the place. Come on now, no one's that gay ;)
