Upcoming AU ... fic... thing....

Never Can a Rose Bloom

Summary: Raymond was sent to an orphanage and adopted immediately at the tender age of 6. His adopters admired his shows of strength in the orphanage, and after adoption, trained him vigorously to become a gladiator, for the sake of the money involved. What they didn’t know was that Raymond was one of the few left from the abolished Cornwell clan – a race that will always choose an eternal love. Isolated from the rest of the world, this love is the only one whom he has ever known well.... But at the same time, this love is the three things he can never have: a male, a monk, and his brother.... [Raven/Lucius]

Yeah. Well, originally, it was to be part of a collection of 4 short multi-chaptered ficlets, but then I started planning for it... and Raven and Lucius just kinda ran off with my keyboard. *whines* Can I help it if complicated plots are fun to plan?! ... Meh, well anyway, I'll be working a bit with the plot before I start, so there won't be any plot holes. I... hope....

No, I'm not done with this. I'd just like to know what you people think of it. I know it sounds mildly melodramatic, but trust me, the actual story has FOUR FREAKIN' SUBPLOTS that entertwine with and make the main plot... well... almost different from the summary. I mean, the summary SEEMS revealing, but it's just pretty much describing what happens in the first few chapters, and then from there... complicatedness. Nevermind, I'm not describing the whole thing. It'll hurt my head too much.

But basically, it involves a socially inept Raven and Lucius who pretty much dove into chastity as his life's ambitions. Woo hoo.

Oh, and are you comfortable with er... mildly implied Vaida/Renault and Karel/Vaida? *twitches and smiles sheepishly* I needed parents with a certain... effect on their children, and well.... I don't like those pairings, but they were neccessary for the story.
