I hate coloring… I seriously do. XD; But I really wanted to an ACTUAL piece of FE fan art for you guys, so here. >_<
I think I’m one step closer to getting carpal tunnel. :D
All in all, the thing took me 5 hours to do. :/
About 35 minutes for the sketch, another 35 for the inking.
And around 4 hours to do the coloring. XD What makes me sort of disappointed though is how crappy it looks when loaded online. I mean, I swear my shading was a lot better than that. But I think it has to do with there not being enough dark pigments so the thing ends up looking smudged.
Though there ARE a lot of things I like. All shall be further explained through lj cut. :D;
Things Brenda Likes:
-Brenda likes how she shaded the clothing. It’s probably the best color shading she did in a picture, but she knows that in a few months it shall be looked down upon since she would probably already have learned more by then. XD
-Brenda also likes Canas’ sleeve, of which she is very aware that it’s part of the clothing. But it’s surprisingly her favorite because of its detail on the folds, especially at the end. n_n
-Brenda is also fond of Erk’s pants, because the pants look sexy even though the shading of folds was unbearably exaggerated. :D
Things Brenda doesn’t like:
-Brenda does not like things that don’t have folds aka Erk’s belt and the random book. Those do not give Brenda what she needs to know on what to shade and not.
-Brenda hates how she drew Canas’ hand. Brenda was going to change it, but she ultimately forgot until she just got done inking it. :/ Brenda’s luck sucks.
-Brenda really hates Erk’s hair, because after 4 tries it still didn’t turn out completely right, though she has to admit this is the best attempt she did out of all of them.
-Probably the thing Brenda most hates is the ending yellowish fabric on both people. End of story. She tried, and someone from above hated her so much that they ruined it.
… Brenda doesn’t know why they’re looking all weird at a book… maybe it’s a sex book! :D Silly dorks…

Oh, and ONE more thing… I had no clue what color Erk’s eyes are, and I still don’t know. XD But in the game and official picture it looks like he has a darkish amber, so I did that. :/ Sorry if I got it wrong…
