Hello. I have been away from LJ for awhile. I completley forgot that I was made a Moderator/Maintainer. I have made my own community Page today.
It is open to all Fandoms and all Pairings. I will post Prompts and make Participation Banners for all who write for that Prompt. I will also make a Poll for each Prompt and the person who gets the most votes will get a Winner Banner. I have a couple of Posts on my page already and a Banner there if anyone wants to place it where you may think people would like to join would be at.

So sorry that this group has been inactive for a while but like a Phoenix, it is about to rise from the ashes and live again... at least I'm hopeful so.

Thank you all for your vast amount of patience!! We'll be starting afresh with new monthly Team challenges and our prompt a day December challenge which is an individual challenge!! Hope to see many of you participate!!

Before Danny can finish, Stiles grabbed the puffer-fish eyes and shoved a handful of them into the cauldron.

Stiles' not sure how, but the cauldron exploded, and he's left with detention and fifty points taken from Slytherin, courtesy of Professor Hale.

Mod Post: Group Updates!!

I'm so excited about starting another year with this wonderful group!!

Note to those who participated in the winter/holiday challenge... I'll work on banners tonite and hopefully get them posted sometime tomorrow!! Thanks to everyone who wrote, the stories were all lovely as can be!! We had a wonderful turnout!! Hope to see everyone participate as well in the February challenge. I'm postponing the annual drab-a-thon until next month, so I hope everyone is looking forward to that as well!!

On a sadder note, both vexed_wench and lynx212 are stepping down as mods in this group. I think I can continue on with a co mod but I'd love if someone on Team Ice would like to volunteer to take over for Lynx as captain of that team. I'm hoping we may entice them to play every once in awhile here as they venture out in different projects this year!! Thanks to both of you ladies for all your help in keeping this group together... love you both!! <3

"The kids are all in bed." JT yawned as he walked into he and Rock's bedroom. It was just after midnight and the new year had begun. They'd had a party, but now everyone had gone home and JT was exhausted and ready to pass out, but as he came into the bedroom, he saw Rock sitting on the edge of their bed, his robe open and revealing his beautiful body, pouring a bottle of raspberry wine into two glasses.

"Rock...." JT said, raising an eyebrow. "It's past midnight. I'm to tired for sex." Rock chuckled. "Ack, I don't believe ye'." Rock said, pulling JT down onto his lap and handing him a glass of the sweet raspberry wine. "Here's to another blissful year." He said, smiling and clinking his glass against JT's. JT smiled. "I'll drink to that." He said, sipping the wine and then setting the glass down. "And....I suppose I could go for a quick little session. Just to celebrate the new year." Rock smiled. "That's what I thought...." He said as he kissed his husband's lips.

The train came to a sudden stop, causing the passengers to be jerked around while things fell down and babies started to cry as if a button had been pressed, forcing them to wake up.

Rory stood up instantly, wiping at the glass so he could look outside.

“Brilliant! Looks like we’re stuck in the middle of nowhere.”

Amy stood up with him, squinting at the vast snow before them. “Oh, give it a minute. I’m sure they’ll fix it right up.”

“Since when are we that lucky?”

“Oh, Rory.” She kissed his cheek. “Think of this as an adventure.”

Title: Setting the Table

“What are you doing?”

Rory looked up at his wife, his brows scrunching in confusion. “What do you mean what am I doing?”

“He’s not coming, you know. He thinks that we think that he’s dead.”

“So?”

“So, there’s no point in setting a place for him.”

Rory watched as his wife continued to help set the table, her shoulders tense and her previously happy mood somewhat darkened.

“He will come back.”

She shrugged, keeping her eyes on the table.

“Trust me.”

She shrugged again, a small sniff escaping her. “We’ll see.”

Rory set a place for the Doctor anyway.

Amy stared at the frosted berries as she bit her lower lip with mischief and thought back to what her husband had told her.

“Don’t get the red ones, Amy. They’re not as good. I know you wanted me to make my Mum’s dessert, but it won’t work with the red ones.”

“Yes, Rory,” she had said, hardly listening. “No red ones. I promise.”

But then she remembered that he gifted her a scarf for last Christmas when she clearly told him that she had wanted perfume. No harm in getting back at him, was there?

She plucked the berries.

“I don’t like these,” Amy said with a pout as she moved behind her husband, circled her arms around happily him, dropped her chin over his shoulder and studied the card he held in his hand.

“What’s wrong with it?”

“It’s got penguins on them.”

“What’s wrong with penguins?”

“They are not seasonal.”

“Penguins live in snow, snow means winter, winter is Christmas. They’re seasonal enough.”

“Let’s pick a card more festive.”

“Like a Christmas tree or a turkey dinner?”

She scrunched up her face. “Fine! Penguins it is.”

He kissed her hair lightly. “Knew you’d see it my way.”

“This what you see here is a man’s job,” her father in law said with a heaving breath as he continued to shovel the snow away from their driveway.

“Right you are, Brian,” Amy said with a smug grin as she turned to face her husband. “See that? It’s a man’s job.”

Rory rolled his eyes as he turned towards his father. “Seriously, Dad, you don’t have to do this. She lost the bet.”

“Is that how I raised you, Rory? To bet with your wife and make her shovel the snow?”

“Yeah, Rory.” Amy pouted.

Rory sighed, although amused.

“I don’t know…” Amy said with a tilt of her head. “Why would a snowman need a top hat?”

“Because he’s a snow gentleman about to take a snowlady dancing.”

“And dancing requires a top hat?”

“For a snow lady it does.”

She laughed, shoving her shoulder against his and sticking her tongue out at him for good measure. “You’re mad.”

“Well, yeah,” Rory said in an obvious tone. “I married you, didn’t I?”

Anyone else would have gotten a good ol’ slap from her, but for Rory, the man who waited two thousand years, she gave him a kiss.

“I like this one,” Rory said with a flourish as he sat down on the closest chair. “It’s a nice colour. It’s comfy.”

“We can’t just buy a random chair for Christmas.”

“Why not? We should get it if it is the best they have.”

“Let’s see…” He yanked at her hand, successfully pulling her onto his lap and causing a light giggle to escape her. “Seems pretty okay to me.”

“I don’t know…” She teased him.

Rory pulled her down and kissed her gently. “You know, Mrs Williams.”

“Oh no!” Amy stared wide-eyed at the box on her lap, panic settling in her chest. “Oh no, no, no, no, no, no. Don’t do this to me. Rory! Come quick!”

Her husband ran into the room, jumper still halfway on as he eyed the room with wide, panicked eyes. “What happened? Did someone break in?”

“No, you stupid.” She raised the box and let him see the damage for himself.

“Oh no! What are we going to do? She’s going to come in any minute now.”

“Shall we tell your mother a baby broke the baubles?”

“Yeah, that’ll do.”

“Why are we doing this again?” Rory asked as he yawned for the fifteenth time in five minutes.

Amy took her seat next to him and settled into the uncomfortable chairs. “I told you, we got free tickets. We might as well use them.”

“It’s the ballet. During December!”

“I know. And you’re not falling asleep either.”

“Please don’t make me watch it.”

“Shush. It’s about to start.”

The curtain rose with loud, happy music, and when it came down after two hours Rory was wide awake.

“We should come next year.”

Amy nodded sleepily into her husband’s shoulder. “Okay.”

“This is nice,” Rory said, looking at the hunting lodge. “It might be nice spending Christmas in a place without any snow.”

“Isn’t that why we’re in Australia?” Amy asked breathlessly from behind him.

Rory looked over his shoulder. “Oh, sorry.” He rushed forward just in time to reach his wife and take the large suitcase from her hands. She let go with a heavy ‘oof’ and fell against him.

“Did you have to pack so much?”

“If memory serves right,” he said with much affection. “Seventy percent of our things are yours. Come on. Let’s go meet our hosts.”

"What's this, Grandma?" Gracie asked as she picked up the cardboard cylinder shaped thing that was wrapped up in fancy Christmas paper. "That's called a party cracker, Love." Mary Mullaney, Rock's mother, told her grand daughter.

"What's it do?" Gracie asked, confused by the strange object. "That, my darling girl is a surprise." Mary said, smiling. "You'll have to wait till after Christmas dinner to find out what it's for." Gracie sat the object back down on the table. "Alright." She agreed. "Good girl." Mary said, placing a kiss on Gracie's forehead. "Now, run along and go help yer Da bring in the presents." Gracie nodded and ran towards the front door of her grandparent's house. Gosh, Ireland sure had a lot of different Christmas traditions than America, but to Gracie that just made it even better.

"I've never heard of anyone having a second Christmas dinner, the day after Christmas before." Rock complained as JT continued setting the table for their late Christmas dinner with JT's two teenage cousins. "Honey, I'm not loving the idea either but Billy Ryan and Billy Ray couldn't make it here yesterday, so it's only fair to have another dinner for them."

"Like they deserve it!" Rock snapped. "Their outlaws, JT. For all we know they were to busy robbing stage coaches to show up yesterday." JT sighed and chuckled. "You're being ridiculous." The door opened up and there stood Billy Ray and Billy Ryan Bonney, both still wearing their bandanas up over their mouths and noses, obviously an affect of having been out in the cold, snowy Wyoming air, but to Rock those bandanas meant that his theory had been right. "Told ya so." He mumbled as JT walked by him, on his way to greet his younger cousins.
