College Football
I don't even know where to begin with this shit. Only in the dimented world of college football can we have a "championship" game between two teams that definitely don't deserve to be there. It just goes to show you that voting is compeltely biased towards teams that are ~hot~ at the end of the season. Isn't this supposed to be about the merits of the teams and not how much they beat the last team by? And to add insult to injury, let's have the two teams that should have played for the championship play inconsequential, overrated teams instead of each other.
Runner-up: Heroes - Really!? Really!? You have that much talent and...really!?

Biggest Disappointment

Fringe
J.J. Abrams is a god. Every show, every movie he has ever been involved in has been gold. His three big shows are some of my all-time favorite shows. Color me excited when I learned of his new show. Too bad it was too convoluted in science gobbldey-gook for it to be understood. Then let's move the storyline along at a snail's pace. Ruin the interest all-together. I'm not saying the show is bad...just that it doesn't live up to the standards that have been set by Abrams' previous work.
Runner-up: Tropic Thunder - I'll probably get flak for this, but I hated this movie. It wasn't funny at all. It took everything in my power to watch the entire thing and not give up. Aside from the occassional quip by RDJ, I was thoroughly bored.

Best Comeback

Britney Spears
So we watched her grow up. We watched her go crazy. We watched her make a comeback. I don't care about the haters, I grew up idolizing Britney and her naughty school girl uniform so I'm psyched that she's back to being a bamf. I'd much rather watch her in the spotlight than any of the Miley Cyruses (and subsequent male versions) out there in the world today. It's Britney, bitch!

I hate stuff about the current "overseas conflict" but this mini-series was too fucking amazing to not love it. Plus...Alex with all those tatoos was so not hard to look at.

They didn't release a new album this year, but....I saw them in concert...got to meet Sam Bean...and fucking Kristen Stewart infiltrated the horrific music on the Twilight OST and got one good song into the movie (even if I don't like them being associated with shit like Paramore).

Bitch is fierce. Effy Stonem is my homegirl. I think I might piss myself while I wait for series three to start.

For the current challenge over at picspammy...

I chose this episode because it was the first time that I really loved the show. It was also the beginning of the ~epic~ Ben/Felicity.

The connection is still there from the night before (they almost kissed). Felicity begins to wear Ben's necklace again. YAY.

Felicity prepares to move out. Julie tries to deal with the break up with Ben. Noel invites Felicity to Germany for the summer.

Ben wants to continue what was started during inventory. FIRST KISS.

Felicity deals with Noel, tries to get advice from Elena, and says goodbye to Megan.

Ben makes his final plea for the road trip. He thinks that they can totally sleep in the same bed without anything happening...PSHAW.

So many decisions! Julie confronts Felicity about Ben falling for another woman. Noel makes his plea for Germany.

Ben confronts Felicity...again...and Julie discovers that Felicity is the ~other woman~.

Felicity fails at making decisions...as always.

Notes: I've had this for a very long time. I shared a horrible, early version of it with allie_ish_kooky a long time ago. The core songs are still the same, but I feel like I've perfected it finally so I'm sharing it. I tried to make it chronological through the series as well...so that takes time.

I feel like a lot of fanmixes that I see are songs that Stephenie Meyer has posted about on her website. I, for one, don't share the same music taste in her...no matter how hard I try to like the songs. This mix is much more mellow than the ones that I've seen out there and I'm a very eclectic listener so I'm hoping this will appeal to a wide range of people.

I have personal fanmixes for most of my fandoms, but I wanted to post this because a bunch of my friends have been posting them lately and for the reasons stated about about not liking certain music. You probably didn't read any of this so here's everything...

I don't keep that many friends and right now twice many users are friends with me that I'm friends with, which bothers me quite a bit.

This tutorial is only for the swirl effect and nothing else. The coloring is dreadful, so I don't know why anyone would want that. Anyway...

Start with original icon, cap from vm-caps.com.

If you still have more than one layer, you will need to merge them all at this point [Ctrl+Shft+E].

Image >> Adjustments >> Desaturate [Ctrl+Shft+U]

Duplicate your base [Ctrl+J].

Filter >> Blur >> Radial Blur >> 15 [increase/decrease for higher/lower intensity]

Elliptical Marquee Tool. Select the area that you want to be able to see and feather your selection [Ctrl+Alt+D]. The feather setting is really unimportant as long as you stay below 15.

Delete the selected area and deselect it [Ctrl+D].

For this particular icon, I also used this texture by peoplemachines.
Set to Screen at 100% and duplicated 2 times [Ctrl+J].

Soooooo, this is my first tutorial. We'll see how it works out :P

Firstly, this tutorial is based on another tutorial that I used. Unfortunately, I didn't meme it, so I can't show you the original. It has been tweaked though, to fit what I want.

I'm going to go in the order of the layers, but the order of the layers isn't necessarily the order that they were done. It all comes down to what you want.

Start with this cap from vm-caps.com.

Duplicate the layer.
Set it to Screen at 20%.

Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Curves.
Input: 49
Output: 70

Duplicate this layer.

Layer >> New >> Layer [Ctrl+Shift+N].
Fill with #EAB75F.
Set to Multiply at 16%.
If the picture looks too dark in the end, deleting this layer is the first step to lightening the picture without losing the coloring.

Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Selective Color.
Reds
C: -100
M: +36
Y: +40
B: 0
Yellows
C: -20
M: -34
Y: -70
B: 0
Neutrals
C: +20
M: +4
Y: +8
B: -22

Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Color Balance.
Shadows

File >> New.
Dimensions: 100 pixels x 100 pixels
Paste [Ctrl+V]

I've noticed people that don't do this correctly, so I wanted to be very clear with this step...
Move Tool to resize.
Click on the box, but don't resize just yet.
Go to your toolbar and click on the little chain to lock the dimensions.
Like this.
Resize at your discretion.

I tried to be as clear as possible to make this usable for users that don't know PS7 from the back of their hand, but please ask questions if you have them and comments are always love :)
