EZICAFE is an easygoing spot in Fortitude Valley that blends the casualness of a local café with the satisfying heft of classic Aussie deli fare. Positioned on Brunswick Street, this café draws a steady stream of locals who drop by for a quick, hearty bite rather than a lingering coffee catch-up. The vibe is relaxed and straightforward, with friendly staff who make you feel welcome whether you’re grabbing a takeaway or settling in for a casual sit-down.

While it’s not a specialty coffee destination, EZICAFE’s menu carries weight through its solid lineup of rolls and pastries that lean heavily into comforting, meaty snacks. Think flaky Cornish pastries, generously stuffed sausage rolls, and notably the roast pork and gravy roll that many customers remember fondly for its generous, juicy fillings carved fresh to order. The pork rolls stand out both for size and taste, making it a popular lunchtime option for locals needing something filling and reliable on the go.

Vegetarian and vegan customers will find thoughtful options too, like the tofu banh mi, which offers a fresh and crisp alternative, with bread that still holds a nice crust. However, some notes from regulars point out the balance of fresh pickled vegetables in these rolls can sometimes be a bit variable, so expect that the flavor profile might lean more towards hearty and filling than delicately balanced.

EZICAFE’s crowd tends to be a mix of neighborhood workers, busy shoppers, and those casually exploring Fortitude Valley’s food scene without the formality of a sit-down restaurant. The best time to visit is lunch hours on weekdays when you can get something tasty and quick, although the casual seating means it’s also suitable for an informal weekend brunch break if you’re in the area and looking for a low-key spot.

Overall, this café is best for anyone who appreciates substantial, well-priced takeaway-style fare with a local feel. It’s less about specialty coffee or artisanal plating and more about delivering honest, filling meals with decent service in a clean, friendly environment right in the heart of a bustling part of Brisbane.

Best vegan tofu banh mi I've ever had! Baguette was perfectly crusty, tofu seasoned well and salad was so fresh. I've also had the roast pork and gravy roll many years ago which was also amazing. Staff are so lovely too.

Best pork roll ever! I got it with the salad instead of gravy for a change and it was unreal!! My friend got a pie and she said hers was amazing too! Great value for money and friendly service as well.

The roast pork roll is extremely delicious, huge and value for money. The pork was carved from a huge block upon order, thus still juicy and warm.

UPDATED NEW REVIEW AT BOTTOM⬇ Owners were nice and place was clean but the banh mi was so so. Needs more freshness of pickled daikon and carrot plus the usual salad ingredients. In Brisbane there seems to be a serious lack of pickle, coriander and spring onions in the rolls. The bread was nice enough but the balance was missing. They also make their own pies and sausage rolls which I will come back to try. Returned recently and the difference in the roll was significantly better. Full of freshness and well balanced with a wonderful crunchy roll.

I ate roast pork roll and it is very good. The pork was very mushy and still retains moisture. The seasoning is also very fit to my taste.
